Amazing, Wonderful, Fantastic, Artistic, Beautiful, Stunning Wedding Sneak Peek

What you've all been waiting for and what I was so surprised was delivered so quickly - a first look at our wedding shots by the dream team - the visionary Darren at CkMetroPhotos and his awesome and oh-so-lovely assistant photographer Loren from Loren Jarvis Photography.

Big shout outs also to the following:

  • the lovely miss Erin from Vera and Rose for the fabulous bouquets, table flowers and for setting up the marquee so beautifully
  • the beautiful miss Kylie Nolan for making me look so amazing with her superb make up skills
  • and last but not least, mum and dad for having such an amazing house filled with so many quirky and retro 'things' around for Darren to make use of

This is just a small selection of my favourites. The rest can be checked out here - please go take a look and leave Darren (and me!) some love.

Aren't they just so, so, so, so frickin amazing?!

I'm signing off for a while. We leave for Thailand on Sunday and we'll be living it up in Phuket for 9 nights. Six nights in a ***** and three nights in a ****** place. If you have ever studied TripAdvisor before selecting accommodation you will know that it basically is a collection of traveller reviews. Our three night, 6 star luxury accommodation is rated #1 of 537 hotel in Phuket and following closely behind is our six night, 5 star place at #9. We got an awesome deal through deals.com.au and can I tell you that I CANNOT wait!!!!

Kat, I hope you have an awesome wedding and I CANNOT wait to see the pics.

Talk soon lovelies.

and last but not least - a gift from a lovely reader Veronica. She sent me a pile of scrabble letters for the wedding and I am IN LOVE with the wooden ones! Veronica I might see if my aunty can collect the boards if they are even half way as cool as the wooden letters (she lives in Coolum)

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 128.

This morning I firstly would like to do a massive shout out to my readers ... whether you are a follower or not, do know that I am honoured that anyone cares about what I have to say/wear/buy. And hooray for reaching 60 followers! Onwards and upwards I say.

I walked to work this morning and actually really enjoyed it. It's about a 30-35 minute walk and if I want, I can tackle a pretty decent hill (which I did this morning) so I'm feeling very accomplished.

Sporting a vintage dress today which is in THE most perfect condition ... all my photos turned out really blurry today so hopefully you can sort of see the beautiful pleats and pattern in this pearler.

Excited that my sis (and maybe one of my b-maids) is coming to visit this weekend! Shopping, hairdos, makeup, wine and friends. What better way to spend a weekend.

AND, check out some of the beautiful crockery that has added to my collection recently. I picked up some of it but big thanks to mama and grandma for picking up so many beautiful English pieces at the Nambour swap meet on the weekend. Meakin galore and OH SO PRETTY.

Op Shop Finds - June Edition

When you're out treasure hunting are you ever drawn to things familiar to you? The answer must be yes for me since I picked up this teapot very much like mum and dad's old faithful. I've already tested it out and it's SUPER. Now I just need a cute owl teapot cover.

I also snapped up this wrought iron figure for $5 at a garage sale, some Italian leather loafers for $1.50 from Vinnies, and two English Grindley bowls for the wedding for $1.50.

Op Shop Finds - May Edition

These days my focus when I visit a garage sale or op shop is first and foremost to head to the crockery section to search for vintage plates, bowls and cups for our wedding. For a little while I wasn't really very confident that we would be able to collect enough, but now I'm 100% positive that we will get there. We are also using old silver forks and spoons and bone handled knives. I've already wrangled in all the aunties for a mass polishing day closer to the big day.

This week I also experienced the mayhem of a monthly $5 fill-a-bag sale at Salvos. It was crazy but I did manage to pick up quite a few vintage blouses, crochet hangers, pants, a jacket, some Alfred Meakin plates and some shoes. Mum and I also took a trip to a country op not too far from home. The sweetest blue and white cloud dress was my purchase of the day ... may need some attention though from my g-ma-ma to dramatically shorten the vintage masterpiece.

Here is just a snippet of my latest bargains.
