Farewell Cool by Association

Hi all,

Just wanted to let you know I'm going to stop posting on cool by association as I have started a fresh blog over at http://theseaandmechange.blogspot.com/

I do hope you will come over there and follow me : ) I'll be sure to add you on to my new list.

I wanted a fresh, clean look for the new year leaving the challenges of 2011 behind me.

Over and Out for the last time.

To Cut or Not to Cut ... That is the Question

I have had long hair for years now ... and had not even contemplated the big chop, chop until one of the last days of 2011.

I held my hair back and quite liked the look of a chic bob.

Problem is I had done my hair all nicely; moroccon oiled it all up and it was all sweet. This is in stark contrast to what it looks like when I wake up ... dishevelled, frizzy, poofy and downright crazy.

Do I/Will I have enough patience to actually DO my hair EVERY day? If I do get the chop I won't have the choice ...

So what are your thoughts? It's just hair right? I do think I will definitely need a keratin treatment though if I go down this path.

According to some wesbite I clicked on, the long bob is so 2011. I think it is so right now.

Work Outfit Challenge - THE FINAL DAY!

The challenge is complete! 209 different outfits - some successful and some not. I'll be glad to not have to think about whether I have worn this with that or not next year. I am hoping to create a bit more of a niche style next year and have recently discovered some new brands which I'll be searching for on my old friend eBay. It will be nice to be reunited with eBay ... it's been a while since I was an active buyer.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 207.

.DSC06280

Third last day of the challenge! I've had this dress in my wardrobe for quite a few years now. I wore it to our work Christmas party four or five years ago and I've brought if out of the woodworks for an appearance today.

I am seriously considered giving my hair a bit of a chop. Be prepared for a potential new do early in the new year!

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 206.

Happy Tuesday!

What do you think I would look like with a change of hairstyle? New look for the new year perhaps? I doubt I would ever have the balls to do it though. Have you ever majorly cut your hair?

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 205.

Yay, the countdown to Christmas really is on now. It's now less than a week now till Santa arrives which means I am in my final week of work this year and thus the final week of my challenge.

You may wonder what this challenge is. If you have no idea, click here.

So many sales have started already!! It is very tempting but I am trying my best to resist. One of the potentially irresistible sales is the Portmans sale.

I already have this dress and it is only $10 cheaper than when I bought it at $69.95. If you are looking for a versatile dress for parties, weddings and race days this is your dress.

I'm tempted to go down and see what this dress looks like in person. I'd choose coral or green and at $29.95 it is an awesome $70 saving!

Today marks the 5th last day of my challenge. I decided to team this new-to-me Steve Madden singlet with this skirt I picked up from the Supre outlet on Saturday. This top is a size large and gazing at this photos makes me realise I should not be wearing a size large when I am not really a size large.

Last point of business today is to direct you over to my new blog at http://yourtrashisourtreasure.blogspot.com/. I'd love it if you all came over there for a look-see and joined up as a follower if you were interested. I hope that I can share flea market finds, displays of our work and maybe even a few vintage outfits here : )

Three and a half days left of work this year. Wahoo!
