Aren't they just so, so, so, so frickin amazing?!

I'm signing off for a while. We leave for Thailand on Sunday and we'll be living it up in Phuket for 9 nights. Six nights in a ***** and three nights in a ****** place. If you have ever studied TripAdvisor before selecting accommodation you will know that it basically is a collection of traveller reviews. Our three night, 6 star luxury accommodation is rated #1 of 537 hotel in Phuket and following closely behind is our six night, 5 star place at #9. We got an awesome deal through deals.com.au and can I tell you that I CANNOT wait!!!!

Kat, I hope you have an awesome wedding and I CANNOT wait to see the pics.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 190 and a bride sneak peek!

Hey everyone! I'm back at work for a couple of days before we leave on our honeymoon - totally sucks! Last week was so, so busy and in a way I wish I could have taken this whole week off just to recover. Oh well, I'm sure once we arrive in Phuket on Sunday all of my worries and exhaustion will disappear.

Quick outfit post today before revealing some of the funny photos for the night ... from our photo booth. I promise I'll post a more in depth account of the wedding but for now check me out ... photo courtesy of our amazing photographer, Darren @ ckmetro photography.

Massive kudos to my very talented sis for making my hair look perfect and to Miss Kylie Nolan for her amazing airbrush makeup.

My makeup still looked a million bucks the next morning. Here is a pic of the undoing of my hair.

And, um, these are, f*ck me, absolutely enormous panties ...

As the big wedding day looms I have been questioned by a few people if I had made the important wedding day underwear purchase yet. To be honest, the idea had not even crossed my mind. An email from trade secret advertising a big underwear sales event prompted me to go investigate my options.

Rows and racks of frills, lace and whatever those contraptions are called that you attach stockings to greeted me. I carefully inspected each appropriate (read, sexy) looking item, copped a feel and thought that just about every pair of the assumed sexy knickers would end up up my bum. Yes, some of them were totally cute but not totally wedge-proof.

Normally, the boring but comfortable-and-no-wedgie bikini briefs are my undies of choice. Bonds particularly if I can get them cheap enough. I don't even own a g anymore.

But being my wedding night, certain assumptions are made. Assumptions that I should be wearing some sort of sexy underwear to lure my husband into the bedroom to consummate our marriage. Well, if you had read my wedding checklist post you would know that we have booked out a fabulous campground for the entire weekend.

If you put two and two together you'll figure out that campground = camping = no bedroom as such. To make our stay a little more comfortable we have hired a caravan to rest our heads once all the dancing, drinking and mayhem is done with. I may be a little prudish and not doing my 'wifely' duty but I doubt there will be any sort of consummating going on or in other words

no

if the caravan's-a-rocking, don't-come-a-knockin' action.

I left the shop sans-undies but with some socks and a new shirt for the boy. I even questioned him when we returned to trade secret the following day for a belt (no, not of the chastity variety) about the idea of wedding underwear. He would never dare to step inside the ladies underwear section in case some sort of a-male-has-entered alarm went off but explained that there is no need to have to worry about wearing sexy undies.

So that's that. I have full permission to wear whatever I feel comfortable in.

The hunt for wedding items

With thirty-three days left until our big day I can just feel the stress and pressure of making sure everything has been organised and paid for creeping up on me. Weddings surely are an expensive affair and I'm feeling a little sick in the stomach at the moment after realising my guesstimate for flowers was a fair way under what the actual cost is.

Anyway, if you follow me on pinterest you'll see I've amassed quite an eclectic range of ideas for our wedding and I was lucky enough to pick up some of the things I've been looking out for on the weekend.

$1.00 for the two. They were previously used to hold keys so aren't as cool as the inspiration image but for a dolla' they'll do the trick.

Other goodies I picked up include some vintage kitchen items and this oh so cool retro Coolangatta (gold coast) glass.

 

    

Oh, and another idea I'm rolling with is this one. I've been scouring eBay for a suitable shelving unit but none are in my price range or location. Lucky for me though my workmate has offered two shelving units he has at home which are PERFECT!

oh, and of course I already have the jars. Now I've just got to somehow communicate to our guests that yes, you will be drinking out of a jar!
