Work Outfit Challenge - Day 198.

Hello all. I know what you're all thinking and in case you don't know what you're thinking I'll tell you.

Man she wears that skirt alot!

Well yes it's true. I don't own a lot of skirts and this one is quite frankly, AWESOME. I really should look into getting myself like 5 more. Or maybe just one more. Ever since asos opened their Australian site I seem to have become less interested but might just have to take a look. I also did hear that topshop just opened in Australia. I might have to check out their site too to see if the postage has decreased.

Anyway, enough babble.

Oh, and popped down to Target this morning who quite conveniently opened at 8am to grab a dress for my sis and picked these up.

I know socks aren't the most exciting purchase but 3 pairs for $2.83 ... what a bargain! Plus I'm always losing socks and for someone who goes to the gym or plays sport at least 7 times a week new ones are always needed. I'm tempted to go back down there this afternoon to see what else they have as part of their 4 million items below cost sale.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 178.

I have yet again taken a style idea from my A - Z style guide and decided to tackle

V is for Volume

by teaming my tulle full skirt with this puff sleeve blouse.

p 1129

I bought this top on Monday at Vinnies new with $35.00 tags for $5.00. It is a size 12 and I thought I could pull off the oversized blouse look. When I put it on this morning I realised why it was in the op shop with the tags on. It is a size 12 with the armholes of a size 8. My arms aren't the skinniest but I am definitely not a size 12 top and may  be able to get the buttons done up on the arms but would prefer to keep the blood pumping in my arms. Does anyone else have this problem?

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 144.

This post is coming in a bit late today. I'm once again crunching numbers at work which requires my full attention so I'm just breaking for a short time to do my daily post.

Seems I've been feeling a little mellow yellow this week as the colour has appeared predominantly in my outfits in the last couple of days.

Did anyone manage to resist the extra 20% off code that asos so graciously sent us earlier in the week? Me, well no.

This is what I ordered:

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 98.

Hello friends. How was your weekend? Mine was pretty good - I achieved what I set out to achieve - a bit of exercise, a spot of browsing (and maybe a teeny bit of shopping), some nail painting and some sleeping, oh and some board games and ice cream cake with friends : )

Was thrilled to find this tigerlily dress at Trade Secret yesterday had been marked down to $10 ...  I'd been eyeing it off for a few months but was not prepared to shell out $60 for it. Ahhh, bliss. And I may have visited our city's two different Diva stores and got 4 items for $10 at each store ... one can never have too much cheap costume jewellery right?

And no, the weather has not suddenly gotten warmer ... I braved the probably 10-ish degree temperature to show the ruffle detail on my new dress.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 95.

Can I start by saying, god weddings are expensive! Being a super savvy and 100% bargain shopper, without actually budgeting individual items I thought we may be able to get away with spending about 10 thousand buckaroonies on the big day. Once we actually itemised and guesstimated everything that figure was doubled. We basically have to save $1000 every pay to be able to afford things - that with a home loan, car loan, insurances and all the rest. That doesn't leave a lot of play money unfortunately.

Does that mean i can't purchase the lovely envelope clutch I created this poll for last week? You still have 5 hours left to vote. Green is the current winner with 6 votes, closely followed by tobacco.

I'm again showing my support for Queensland by wearing maroon in anticipation of tonight's second origin match. I bought this skirt from asos and am very conscious about its length. I nearly didn't wear it but what is the point of buying something and then not wearing it?

Thanks to my lovely friend Kristin for taking my photos today. Plenty of silly faces in this post.

Oh, and for those of you out there who wear contacts ... I purchased a box of 6 contacts from www.ezyvision.com.au for a third of the price of what I paid at the optometrist ... no prescription needed AND free shipping. The shipping took a little longer than I expected but for the price it was well worth it.

Colours of the Rainbow

Thinking of treating myself to this beautiful envelope clutch (and maybe some other goodies) from my favourite online shop (asos if you hadn't guessed) next pay day.

Love the pussy bow blouse and crop pants combo but I think my stand out is Orange, or is it Yellow?

ASOS tip - shop in land down under dollars to get an indication of price but before you check out change it back to Great Britain Pounds - the exchange rate they use is pretty crummy (maybe to try and recover some of the shipping costs)

Which colour would you choose?

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 80.

Went down to Kmart yesterday afternoon and nearly bought a pair of wedge booties but changed my mind. Got home and decided that I needed to have them so might go get them this afternoon because hooray it's pay day! I have been thinking about getting a pair for a while and had my eye on some ones in Myer but I just cannot justify like $150 given we are needing to save like fifteen grand for the big day in November. So although the ones in K-fart are synthetic (and I'm usually a synthetic snob), I figure the $29 outlay will be worth it.

Oh, and can I just say I am super impressed with asos's customer service. The tobacco tights I wore to the Stanthorpe races were left with a small hole in them after only one wash. I contacted asos and within an hour a new pair were on their way to me. More reasons to continue my love affair with asos. Actually on that topic, another asos package should be arriving soon with these goodies. Now I just need to figure out how to do my hair like that so I can use the headband like that - so cute!

Experimented with a bit of colour today. Not quite colour blocking but I'm taking baby steps.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 76. Fulfilling Needs.

It feels like FOREVER since I've been op shopping. Well no, let me rephrase that. It feels like forever since I went op shopping and actually got something I wanted to share with all of you guys. And I MISS it! There is barely a week that goes by that I don't at least visit one oppie but my knack for finding AMAZING things seems to have left the building. At lunchtime some of us girls here at work will visit an op. We hear that one of the shops I very rarely visit has a fill a bag sale so that might be our destination. It used to be a shop where everything was WAY overpriced and basically shit but I'm willing to give it a go as they have changed their ways and everything is apparently like under $10. This weekend I think I'll also visit the vintage wardrobe. We are lucky to have a specialised Lifeline in town that only carries vintage stuff. They used to be VERY reasonable in price but in the last year or so have really increased their prices. I'm looking for some vintage blouses so am hoping they have some for around $5 or at least under $10. Oooh, and there is a car boot sale this Saturday which I can't wait for. Last year's event was exciting so hopefully this one will be even better. Wish me luck!

Today I'm wearing this dress from asos. Man I can't stay away from asos - bloody free shipping!! I want them to take it away. But I don't want them to take it away. Is anyone else asos obsessed?

Did I mention I love ruffles?? ... Not as cute as the model, but I'm no model and the lighting is terrible. Oh and I wasn't vain today - I washed my hair this morning and let the frizz flag fly.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 69.

Howdy partners. How are you all on this fine Tuesday?  I'm a little disheartened by the lack of interest in my giveaway. Is it that people don't actually like my blog or is it just that the ring isn't their style? I hope it's the latter but accept that different people like different things. I do however appreciate my two new followers who have joined and have not opted to enter in to the giveaway - means they are not following because of the prize. That makes me happy : )

I picked up this dress while wondering around our local shopping centre on a Thursday night not quite fulfilled at what I had already purchased. I saw a sign at Tree of Life (a shop I rarely go in) for 50% off the marked price and 50% off always gets me interested. I bought this dress without trying it on but at $22.50 I thought why not? It's pink and polka dot AND has ruffles. If you know my style I am the BIGGEST fan of lace and ruffles and just cannot resist a bit of frill action.

Oh O I have some boobage overhang and I don't really have any boobage to start with. I mean how do you even tone that area of your chest?! Suggestions welcome.

I'm a bit bored of all the stuff in the shops at the moment. I'm on the look out for a pair of booties to wear to a race day in Stanthorpe in May (it will be COLD) but worry with my cankle situation that NO booties are going to look cute - my legs will just look like tree trunks. I'll keep looking anyway.

I also may have been going a little crazy on asos. It seems I just cannot resist their worldwide free shipping offer - please don't judge me!. These are some of the items that are on their way to me.

noticing a bit of a theme here?

I have taken advice from a co-worker and am clearing out some of my clothes to make way for the new items. Am I the only one who struggles to pull apart two hangers to place another item in the wardrobe? It's a workout and a half for me at the moment. So if you're interested, keep an eye on my items for sale which I'll be listing in the next week or so.
