Work Outfit Challenge - Day 161.

Hello readers from a worn out young lady. What a busy weekend it was!

I have to thank everyone that came and helped out at my polishing/washing day. It was a major success and wow, can I totally vouch for the silvo product. I thought I had taken before and after photos of the mountains of cutlery requiring polishing and the piles and piles of dishes needing a wash but apparently I didn't. Sorry guys! A big shout out to Kerri, Georgie and Mellie - the main crockery team and to everyone else for muscling up  and polishing some very distressed cutlery!

The everyone else deserves to be named for all their hard work ... mum, grandma, rose, lisa, ness, batty, anna, theresa, leigh, angela, marty and rianna. I can't thank everyone enough!

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 160.

Yay, spring has well and truly arrived and it's Friday so even better! Today's predicted temperature is 25 --- perfect for all the visitors to Toowoomba for the annual Carnival of Flowers festival.

I'm so looking forward to the weekend - busy as it may be. Tonight we are off to the boy's soccer breakup dinner - they are calling it a banquet but it is at like one of the, if not THE, dodgiest pub in town. Tomorrow morning I'll try and sneak in some early morning garage sales then me and two of my bmaids are off to the shops to try and find a dress for one of them. Then we have the polishing and dish washing in the afternoon but I may be one of the only ones drinking yet - oh well, the more for me. And Sunday we are off to Brissy to do some bridesmaid accessory and shoe shopping while the boys play golf.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 159.

What a beautiful spring day it is here in Toowoomba, perfect for our upcoming Carnival of Flowers festival. Spring is definitely in the air and I've worn an appropriate outfit for it.

So looking forward to this Saturday as some of my closest friends and aunties are coming over for some pre-wedding fun - if you can call polishing vintage cutlery and washing old English china fun. I have bought a nice selection of sauv blanc and some bubbly to bribe my workers.

Oh, and one of my dearest friends just sent me a text to let me know she is transferring to a town only an hour away for next year (she is a teacher). She currently lives way out in the country - 8 hours away. Can't wait!

Yay for it being Friday tomorrow.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 158.

Today I'm feeling much more relaxed and though I might give some print mixing a go. These items totally clash but I think I like it.

Thanks for your lovely comments on my new ladder ... I went over to mum and dad's this morning and noticed mum had even used my scrabble board idea to name their bar ... 'Jones Bar' - she claims that she already had it displayed but I'm on to you mum!!! I'll take it as a compliment that you liked my decorating : )

Shabby, Rustic Heaven

I found an absolute beauty of a ladder at a deceased estate sale on Saturday and I thought I would share it with this late Tuesday afternoon. It was a little more expensive than I wanted it to be at $15 but I couldn't leave it behind. I am wondering though many items constitutes a collection? I only have 2 ladders now so I think I'm safe.

It's shabby, metal and very sturdy and the boy even approved its (maybe temporary) home in the dining room and even helped with decorating it.

Jealous?        

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 157.

Warning, warning ... today I'm in a pre-wedding tizz and am not in a very happy mood. It's come to the point of sending the invitations out and somehow our guest list from a couple of months ago (which was already at 120+) has grown by at least another 10 people. I am a little stressed to say the least ... anyway forget about hat.

Today I decided to go back to my A - Z list from months ago as I don't have too much time left to conquer all of these styles plus the challenges which have been posed to me so far this year (see the list down the right hand side of the page).

Today is D is for Draped.

This will probably be the one and only time I wear this dress which was on a final clearance at Myer for $5 or $10. I'm just a bit too conscious of my derriere in this dress.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 156.

hey guys - SUPER late post today. How was everyone's weekend? Not long enough I'm guessing.

I've got one or two super cool flea market finds to showcase tomorrow but today is just a boring outfit and nothing too much to say really. I promise I'll be a little more interesting tomorrow.

I wish spring would get here! So so sick of shitty winter weather!
