My heart rate reached the extremes this morning when I received an email to let me know I'd officially joined the Finda team. What is Finda you ask? Finda is a local Toowoomba website with information and stories on things to see and do, events, photos and news. A couple of weeks ago I received an email out of the blue from the editor of Finda letting me know that the team had stumbled across my blog and really liked it. Basically they asked if I'd like to get my writing out there a little more by doing some work for them. I met with the editor and agreed excitedly to become a contributing weekly columnist where I get to write about my favourite topic - shopping! I may also get the chance to do some fashion reviews for local events like race days and school formals. At this stage it's an unpaid gig but for now it's just exciting to see my words (unedited!) out there on a public site which is due to be heavily marketed in the very near future. There has already been some facebook 'likes' on my first story and I've been linked on the Toowoomba facebook page with the following introduction:

Happy St Patrick's day to all of you. Naturally I wore green to celebrate some of my Irish (Gleeson) heritage.
You may have noticed my request for tips for losing some weight of my ass yesterday and my friend Renee over at the days of nais advised me to up my incidental exercise amongst other things. I'd been using the excuse that I couldn't ride my bike because one of my tyres was a bit flat but decided a $400 ridiculously cute bike should not be hidden away - it should be ridden and thus, I travelled to work on my bike today. The dress was NOT a good choice let me tell you friends. I'm sure some tradies and early morning delivery drivers may have got a flash of some nude undies today. Anyway, I made it and am here to tell the tale!
