Work Outfit Challenge - THE FINAL DAY!

The challenge is complete! 209 different outfits - some successful and some not. I'll be glad to not have to think about whether I have worn this with that or not next year. I am hoping to create a bit more of a niche style next year and have recently discovered some new brands which I'll be searching for on my old friend eBay. It will be nice to be reunited with eBay ... it's been a while since I was an active buyer.

Third last day of the challenge! I've had this dress in my wardrobe for quite a few years now. I wore it to our work Christmas party four or five years ago and I've brought if out of the woodworks for an appearance today.

I am seriously considered giving my hair a bit of a chop. Be prepared for a potential new do early in the new year!

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 205.

Yay, the countdown to Christmas really is on now. It's now less than a week now till Santa arrives which means I am in my final week of work this year and thus the final week of my challenge.

So many sales have started already!! It is very tempting but I am trying my best to resist. One of the potentially irresistible sales is the Portmans sale.

I already have this dress and it is only $10 cheaper than when I bought it at $69.95. If you are looking for a versatile dress for parties, weddings and race days this is your dress.

I'm tempted to go down and see what this dress looks like in person. I'd choose coral or green and at $29.95 it is an awesome $70 saving!

Today marks the 5th last day of my challenge. I decided to team this new-to-me Steve Madden singlet with this skirt I picked up from the Supre outlet on Saturday. This top is a size large and gazing at this photos makes me realise I should not be wearing a size large when I am not really a size large.

Who said blue and green should never be seen?! Today I've worn a dress as a skirt and layered a super cheap top from Katies over the top. I quite like the outcome.

My super shiny hair is courtesy of a new bottle of Morroccon Oil - that stuff is magic!

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 203.

There hasn't been a lot of productivity (at least from my end) in the office this morning as we are preparing for our annual Christmas decoration competition. The judging is on this afternoon and our team has gone with a south pole correctional centre theme. Our prison uniform is black top and jeans - hence today's outfit. Work Outfit Challenge - Day 201

Morning lovelies. Christmas is nearing and so is the end of the work year! Hooray.

The husband and I will be venturing down to Wooli on the far north coast of NSW for Christmas ... let's hope the weather is nice so we can spend some time at the beach lounging around before and after lunch. It's a cute little town of about 500 people just down the road from Grafton and this will be our 3rd or 4th visit. What are you plans for Christmas?

My bloody hair looked semi-nice this morning and now it has gone to shit. Must get down to our local hair wholesaler and pick up some Moroccon oil.

Anyway, enough whinging! Today's dress was picked up at a garage sale packed with clothes that were all a dollar. One dollar! Craziness! I'm not in love with it but it will do. I've teamed it with a pair of my favourite looking but not so favourite feeling heels.

Work Outfit Challenge - Day 200!

2 more working weeks left of 2011 and 10 days left in my challenge. Too easy!

Took a visit to Vinnies on Friday and saw the potential in this top/jacket which was part of a set - for $3.00 I thought why not. I took it back to work and was prompted by my workmates for a bit of a fashion show. Hold your breaths and check this bad boy out.

Circa 1990?? Brand is Studibaker Hawk which features in the powerhouse collection. The profile on the current studibaker site reads as follows:

Born in the 1980's Studibaker Hawk found strong influences from the Punk era. Janelle Smith, David Miles and Wendy Arnold created garments that were dubbed 'art-clothes' and winning awards in the PM category at the AFAs was a common occurrence.

I'd say that description is quite accurate. Sexy, right?!

    

Today's outfit is another op shop story. Both top and pants are from the op shop. I tried these old school katies pants on at the shop over what I was wearing and just had to buy them for how comfortable they are. I admit now that they are quite dicky and will probably now be used as pj's but hey, I thought I'd see if I could pull off the harem pant look and apparently the answer is a big fat NO.

Oh yea, and I got some bangs. Thanks sissy.
